Meditation: Meditation is the practice of stillness and quiescence. There are many various approaches to meditation. In essence it is a non-sectarian, non-religious practice of observing our mind, our surroundings, our overall experience of now. In the process we come to realize the nature of mind and to ultimately restore our awareness to wholeness. Since it is non-sectarian, non-religious it can be an aspect of other practices as well as a practice within itself. There are no requirements, initiations, creeds, rituals, or gurus necessary for the practice of meditation. In the end it's no different than walking down the street or tying one's shoes. It's just the process of being aware of being aware.
