Those of us who are close to nature and close to the earth notice celestial movements, the phases of the moon and its energetic influences, and the subtle and not so subtle energetic differences in the seasons, the times of day, and different locations on the planet. Accordingly, the soltice of summer and winter and the equinox of fall and spring are notable days as well. Today, being the Winter Solstice, is a good time to start anew. Feel the energy of this day, whatever it is for you. It may be chaotic or blissful, or it may be neutral and hardly noticable. However it appears, notice it without judgment or desire, just feel the quality of it; let it settle in your chest, be with it and be it. Then put the old behind and all possibility ahead. Fix that as reality then live into it. With the old behind us, we are no longer burdened. The future is nothing less than infinite potential. How it is actualized is determined through intention. The only thing to do is envision and let it be. Everything else is either commentary or wasted energy.

Artificial Superintelligence "How far do you have to go into the future in order to die from the level of progress achieved? 'I call that the “Die Progress Unit.' Tongue-in-cheek but not entirely, Urban used the Die Progress Unit, or DPU, to illustrate how fast technology has been advancing. It has gone from linear progress to exponential progress, he said. "Urban said many AI experts are concerned not that the machines will turn on us deliberately, but that we may simply get in the way of their plans or become irrelevant to them. Unintended consequences could occur if they are poorly programmed." The Rest of the Story |
