I've been considering a new vehicle and am overwhelmed by the technology that, in my opinion, does little to improve the functioning of an automobile--unless of course you don't know how to drive, or you are inclined to text and drive, or perhaps are prone to falling asleep at the wheel. New generation vehicles will brake for you, steer for you, alert you to potential danger, etc... whether you wish them to or not. And in many cases these "benefits" are not optional.
Well, frankly I'm not interested. I know how to drive. I accept the risks and danger involved in driving. I have been driving for over forty years. I get it. But it seems if I want a plain old-fashioned automobile I will have to get an antique. And then, I came across this: Nissan is developing a car that operates off the brain waves of the driver (?) (passenger, operator, human interface, biological unit???).
OK, so now it doesn't look so bad. Yeah, right.
